The Wellness Insider is Singapore's first Wellness platform that promotes body confidence, and it was started in October 2016. This was the first time they had launched a 'Wellness Day Out', which was a 3 day holistic wellness festival which comprises of a series of workshops on fitness, beauty and health. The festival helped the public better understand what a healthy body is, and to gain confidence in the way one looks and feels! Thanks to Ms Melissa Fann, who is the founder of The Wellness Insider for the lovely invite!  I was delightful to attend the same event as my fitness buddy Tracy, and we had so much fun hanging out together! The inaugural Wellness Day Out was running from the 23rd to 25th June 2017, and it was held at the basement event space of Capitol Piazza . There was a Wellness Bazaar with stalls selling fitness apparel, health food, and organic products. Other attraction ranged from a Children's play section, and a mu

[run event] DreamWorks Day 2017

DreamWorks Day 2017 was the first DreamWorks themed running event in Asia! Runners had a choice to have their children participate in the 800M kid dash or to join the 5KM fun run ! You did not need to be a running junkie to enjoy the event, as there was a fun carnival at the race village, which offered various kid-friendly activities for the whole family.     Baby and I signed up for the 5km fun run, and as a fan of the animated movies, I was really looking forward to the run. There wasno queue at all!        At the carnival, 'The Rock Wall' was very popular among the children!        We ran along the scenic route of Gardens by the Bay (East). On our way back to the finish line, the NDP aerial rehearsal was going on at the same time, as evident by the loud sound from the fly-by of the fighter jet planes! After we cross

There were many slots for the tours and the last one was around 330pm. Each tour takes about 2 hours, and there are multiples timings for each different days.      Upon reaching the information site, we parked our car and we made haste to the ticketing counter to get our tickets. Unfortunately, we were told that all slots were sold out for the day, and we regretted that we did not purchase our tickets online in prior to our departure from Singapore, As Hobbiton is the only attraction on this small town of MataMata, we did not have the intention to stay here overnight. In fact, we had a stay waiting for us at Rotorua!   While this made us slightly dispirited, we reserved our tickets for the very next day instead, and we took the latest slot at 3.30pm. We drove another hour t
