[KINDNESS DAY SG 2017] Launch of Garden of Gratitude

Thanks to my blogging buddy Jasmine, who extended her invite to me to attend the KINDNESS DAY SG 2017 Appreciation Dinner which was held at the Stadium Riverside Walk

This year marks the 5th year of Kindness DAY SG Celebration, and the theme is 'Kindness It's Up To Us'!

Chief of Sports Medicine at Changi General Hospital and former Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP) Dr. Benedict Tan was the Guest of Honour for the night!

During the speech, there was a mention on the inaugural Singapore Kindness Run 2017 which was held on the 14th of May 2017. It was an initiative program by the group 'Runner's Heart Reach' to promote message of kindness. This race aimed to have runners give encouragement to one another, and was the first-ever run where kind acts and good running etiquette were experienced by all. Participants also took the opportunity to donate their used/old running shoes to others who needed it more. I was pretty interested to know more about it, and I hope to join in the run in the next edition.

As part of the celebrations, a special maze art installation, named the 'Garden of Gratitude' was created. It had daisy windmills and light bulbs, and the garden theme was to celebrate and inspire/fuel the spirit of kindness in our society!

Apart from the launch of the 'Garden of Gratitude', there was a presentation of Kindred Spirit Circle (KSC) certificates & tokens of appreciation to partners.

After the presentation, all invited guests helped themselves to the sumptuous reception buffet dinner.

I was happy to be part of the light-up ceremony, and I hope that through the series of kindness movement, it will inspire fellow Singaporeans to show love and gratitude to one another.

The public is invited to view the 'Garden of Gratitude' installation from now till the 30th of June 2017, which is located at the Stadium Riverside Walk.

Thanks for having us at the Kindness DAY SG 2017 Celebratory Dinner, and let us do our part to keep our society a friendlier and kinder place to live in.
