[product review] Himalaya Herbals Lip Balm

The ubiquitous Lip balm is one of the basic lip care products available in the market which is an essential item for everybody. Himalaya Herbals Lip Balm is enriched with Wheat Germ Oil which is used to nourish and soften lips. Carrot Seed Oil is also present, and is used to protect the lips from harsh environments. It is a total lip protection and an ideal remedy for dry and sore lips, as it offers intense moisturising and deep nourishment.
Lip Balm is a necessity for me, as I use it as my base before applying my lip colors. I am glad that the Himalaya Herbals Lip Balm soothed my dry lips and prevented it from cracking and chapping. Most importantly, it is super affordable and protects my lips in a healthy way!

Although the lip balm is a thick and transparent gel like substance, it is not greasy at all. I spread the thick gel evenly on my lips and it gave fuller look to it. I felt my lips being nourished without a heavy sensation of heaviness or greasiness. I like the sweet scent that lingered on my lips after application. Himalaya Herbals Lip Balm is one of my favorite lip balms of all time!
The packaging is pretty simple, and it comes with a slant lip applicator for easy application. Himalaya Herbals Lip Balm is formulated with natural oils that make a perfect lip balm for all seasons! Apply it evenly on lips, as often as needed.
A cool method to smooth away lip troubles is to use a DIY lip scrub by using Himalaya Herbals Lip Balm in conjunction with some sugar crystals! It is a perfect and natural product that helps to exfoliate the lips, and to give it a fresh, healthy look!

The sugar granules in the scrub do not feel harsh at all on my lips. My lips feel pretty good while scrubbing it with the lip balm. It helps my pigmented lips to look rosy, as the blood circulation from the scrubbing plays a part! My lips feel soft and moisturised after scrubbing. I love the post scrubbing results, and I highly recommend the DIY lip scrub with Himalaya Herbals Lip Balm. It contains natural ingredients and is handmade!
The Himalaya Herbals Lip Balm is retailing at SGD2.75, and is available at Guardian, Watsons, Mustafa, Giant, NTUC Hypermarket, National Health group pharmacies and other bigger beauty retail chains.
Lastly, I want to thank The Sample Store and Himalaya Herbals for the lovely opportunity to try out this affordable hypo-allergic lip balm.

[product review] ATOPALM REAL BARRIER Extreme Cream

ATOPALM REAL BARRIER is specially formulated for dry and sensitive skin types. It also contains hyaluronic acid that hydrates and comforts skin for long hours. REAL BARRIER's goal is to reinforce and support the skin's natural barrier. It keeps moisture in and irritants out!
I was delighted that the company '0.8L Singapore' sent me the ATOPALM REAL BARRIER Extreme Cream directly from Korea! It helps to repair damaged 'skin barrier' and firm up sagging skin. It penetrates deep inside the skin well without leaving a sticky or greasy feel at all.

Apart from the Extreme Cream, ATOPALM REAL BARRIER also delivered a deluxe trial-size of Essence Mist, Cream Cleansing Foam and Eye Contour Cream.
I love the Essence Mist very much as it keeps my skin well-moisturised longer as compared to water-type mists.
The Cream Cleansing Foam is a creamy and moisturising cleanser that effectively removes light make-up and Everyday impurities gently. It is a great product for sensitive skin as it contains no parabens and is free from artificial fragrances and mineral oil.

ATOPALM REAL BARRIER Extreme Cream is super gentle and sinks nicely into my skin. I am glad that it gives a heavy dosage of moisture without clogging my pores. All you need is just a small amount to do wonders on your entire face. Apart from applying on the face, you can use it on other parts of the body such as knees, elbows, heels and even on the hands to prevent them from being too dry.
I could have given this product a full rating, but I dislike the packaging. As I mentioned in my previous post, I personally dislike products that come in a jar/tub as I hate to scoop out the cream with my fingers. However, this product comes with a scoop to replace the usage of fingers. I therefore do give this product a 100% approval rating!

I love the ATOPALM REAL BARRIER range that was delivered to me, as this range is a ideal balance for both sensitive and dehydrated skin, which makes it a good skincare product that gives a healthy and attractive appearance. Check out the ATOPALM REAL BARRIER today and find your products that work right for you!
Thanks 0.8L Singapore once again for the products and I hope my mini review can help my friends and readers to understand the products better! Lastly, thanks for stopping by my space.
XOXO cheers!

[launch event] BODUM Electrical Appliances

I was glad to be invited to join the first-ever launch of BODUM Electrical Appliances in Singapore which was held at the 'Antoinette' a French themed café @ Mandarin Gallery.
BODUM is a well-established international brand which offers customers high-quality coffee and tea making products.

The BODUM coffee-making set looked stylish and elegant, and the sleek design really impressed me! What I love most about this device was that it enables users to grind coffee beans and brew coffee in an easier and hassle-free way. I always welcome the aroma of the coffee to start my morning!

I had a good time experiencing BODUM's principle of slow coffee, as well as to try out various types of coffee during the media launch event. What is 'slow coffee'? BODUM describes it as the 'Soul of Coffee Brewing' and guarantees only the finest quality of coffee delivered!

For tea lover, this device can be used to brew your favorite tea. Check out the different selection of tea leaves that BODUM offers!

Check out the whole series of BODUM electrical appliances which are available Metro, Tangs, Robinsons, Takashimaya Singapore and Harvey Norman. To find out more about the products details, please visit

[random] Sunday Brunch - Hong Kong Zhai + Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen + NARS Man Ray Party

Nowadays, I have a new regular Dim Sum place I will go to on weekends with Baby and Auntie Vi. 'Hong Kong Zhai' is located at Ang Mo Kio, and it is actually a humble food stall located within a coffee-shop at a HDB block. However, one should not look at this aspect, because the dim sum is pretty good and can be compared to restaurant quality! Most importantly, it is affordable! The damage was less than SGD35 for a variety of items, in which we had about 10+.  Thanks Baby for the weekend brunch treat!

My CSR team had a lunch appointment with Boss Bob at Javier's Rotisserie & Salad. Thanks Boss for the lovely lunch with my follow team mates!

I attended the launch of NARS Man Ray Holiday Collection which was held at Takashimaya.

The NARS make-up collection is super irresistible! Thanks Nylon for the invite!

I always enjoy my SAT-DATE with my Baby, and after a long hiatus, we finally re-visited Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen which has an outlet at Square2, Novena. We ordered a big portion of Kazan Karamiso to share between the two of us. The broth is thick and delicious. A lot of cabbages and bean sprouts were added and I love the well-marinated Cha Shu (roasted pork) very much.

We ended our meal with a can of Suntory Oolong Tea which we redeemed from the restaurant's Loyalty Card Programme! Thanks Baby for the lovely meal!

Oh ya, I also had the Signature Pan-fried Mee-Hoon ('Burnt Mee-Hoon') at Malu Malu Seafood for a weekend supper which is located at Woodlands Industrial Park (about 1km away from Baby's apartment). The wait time was still pretty long but I was willing to wait as I really do enjoy the mee hoon very much.

I end my post with a random weekday dinner at Kim Gary HK Restaurant. The damage was about SGD30 with 10% discount off! Thanks for the treat to soothe my rough day at work, Baby!

Lastly, I had my favorite popiah at ABC Brickworks Hawker Centre! Although there is always a long line, we still do willingly queue for it as it really tastes awesome!

Go cashless shopping at Audio House - Bendemeer Showroom

In 2004, Audio House was the first electronics store to offer the '7 Day Money-back Guarantee' with no question asked within the electronics industry in Singapore. Till date, the home-grown electronics chain for over 20 years Audio-House has made a bold move to be the first in the market to offer electronics to the public at an affordable price. There is now a 20% rebate being offered on top of having the lowest prices in Singapore!

Last year, in August, Audio House downsized to just one outlet at Bendemeer Road, closing down their store at Liang Court. Many have thought that Audio House was shrinking it's business through this move. However, the company is actually planning to pass these cost savings to their loyal customers, and to revamp their business concept! The flagship store at Bendemeer has been converted into a showroom that offers 100% cashless payment solutions. This new business strategy has now allowed Audio House to offer electronics at up to a 20% reduction from the lowest prices offered else where island wide!

Recently Audio House has revamped the entire showroom and payment system to bring forth a whole new shopping experience to its customers with a completely cashless payment concept. They are Singapore's first store that has gone completely cashless!

For 10 days from the 11th to the 20th of November 2017, Audio House is giving out free SGD100 vouchers to all new members who sign up -
These vouchers will be given in SGD20 denominations, where these new members can offset each SGD20 voucher with every SGD100 spent. It is great savings for people who are looking to buy new electronic or to replace old or faulty ones!

Customers can visit Audio House’s showroom to check out the latest home electronics, touch and feel them, as well as speak to the sales promoters to know more about the specifications or other details related to the products. After deciding on what to purchase, customers can then make their purchases via Audio House’s e-commerce platform, with arrangements of delivery and payments also completely done online.
The operating hours at Audio House are now shortened from 12.30pm to 9pm instead of previously at 11am to 9pm. However, customers can still browse and make purchases via Audio House’s e-commerce platform which is available 24/7.
We had a hearty time shopping at the Audio House! Thanks Brand Cellar and Audio House for having us and rendering us with kind hospitality, as well for pampering us with more choices for electronics. Most importantly, thanks for keeping our pockets comfortable always with these affordable prices!
