[Sentosa line] Launch of Sky Network

A total of SGD78 million was spent invested on the new the Sentosa Line, which has brought convenience to vistors as they can easily access the areas from to Merlion Plaza to Siloso Point.

There are 3 cable car stations (The Merlion, Imbiah Lookout and Siloso Point stations) in the new Sentosa Line.

I attended the launch of the new Sentosa Line, which is an extension of the existing Mount Faber cable car line. With the new line, there are now 2 lines that form the Singapore Cable Car Sky Network.

We witnessed the launch of the New Sky Network, which took place at the Fort Siloso Station.

My peers and I were so excited to be one of the first few to try out the new extension of the sky network. The scenery is awesome and we had a fun joyride indeed!

Apart from the convenient access from Merlion Plaza to Siloso Point, the extension also adds a great value for the guests, as it offers a beautiful scenic view of Sentosa while riding over the beautiful island.

We took many random photos at the event.

Do head down to the new Fort Siloso Skywalk which is about 11 stories high. This elevated bridge leads guests to an aerial walking trail where guests can walk above the treetops and get a chance to meet up with the island's residential creatures.

Thanks for preparing a nice spread of delicious canapés and drinks at the cocktail reception area.

Thanks for the invite and I had a pleasurable experience at Sentosa Island.

Fort Siloso has been a paid attraction and will be permanently open for all to enjoy at no cost. For those who want to know more about this historical site then you are in for a treat. Now, there is a special guided tour with a cost that has been introduced, but will be offered free to all Singaporeans and local residents from 15th July-10th August 2015.

As part of Sentosa's SG50 celebrations, rides on Singapore Cable Car Sky Network will be free of charge for Singaporeans and local residents from 9am-9pm on the 10th of August 2015. In addition, they can also get free entry to the Sentosa Merlion attraction, as well as The Wing of Time show during the Golden Jubilee Weekend.
