Gala Premiere of Triumph in the Skies

I am a big fan of Hong Kong TVB dramas, and my favorite is Triumph in the Skies which was aired in 2003 and it has been cited as one of the best TVB serial dramas.

The sequel, Triumph in the Skies II was aired two years back in 2013, and although we had waited for the sequel for 10 years, some of the main casts remained the same for the second instalment. However there were new additions of popular actors / actress such as Julian Cheung and Nancy Wu, but oh well, I still prefer the original series!

I was glad to be invited by Clover Films to attend the Red Carpet session and Gala Premiere of Triumph in the Skies.

The red carpet was held at the Marina Bay Sands, and I was happy to be able to get a closer glimpse of Julian Cheung and Charmaine Sheh.

The movie version of Triumph in the Skies is an adaptation of the popular drama, Triumph in the Skies which will be premiering on the 19 February 2015. 

The story is about the lives of a group of pilots and flight attendants, and the movie centers around the 3 different romantic stories which star Hong Kong's biggest acts, such as Francis Ng, Julian Cheung, Louis Koo, Sammi Cheng, Charmaine Sheh and Amber Kuo.

In the movie, the 3 pairs are Louis Koo and Charmaine Sheh, Francis Ng and Sammi Cheng and lastly, Julian Cheung and Amber Kuo. Out of these 3 love stories, I like the story about Louis Koo and Charmaine Sheh as the chemistry between them is the best. It is well crafted as compared to the other 2 stories, and I like the flashbacks and the background English love songs.

This is a highly anticipated Blockbuster movie that all fans of Triumph in the Skies should not miss, though the story line is simple with a cliché ending. Though Valentine’s Day is over, but love is always in the air this February. Do catch this romantic movie with your loved ones and friends.
