Singapore International Jewellery Expo 2013

The Singapore International Jewellery Expo (SIJE) was held at Singapore’s glamorous venue, Marina Bay Sands Singapore from July 4 to 7, 2013. It is a magnet for the most exquisite range of jewellery and designs from around the world.

The Singapore International Jewellery Expo brings together leading local and international jewellers, manufacturers and suppliers to showcase a truly spectacular trove of jewellery, gems and accessories to both members of the trade and the public.

The 4-day event will showcase more than USD128 million in jewellery including several solitary rare, natural, colored gemstones that exceed SGD1 million per piece.

The staging of Singapore international Jewellery Expo 2013 provides the ideal platform for fine jewellery and jewellery designers to showcase their unique jewellery pieces to the fast expanding Asian market. With the theme of enchantment, it featured a dazzling display of fine jewellery pieces by 223 exhibitors from 26 countries.

I was glad to attend the largest jewellery event in Singapore which featured the biggest collection of diamonds and rare, natural gemstones in Singapore.

Italy is world renowned for its jewellery craftsmanship and design. The event boasts of more than 30 exhibitors from Italy. This year, the largest turn-out was by Italian Jewellers and I was attracted to one of the exhibitors during my visit, Duepunti which is from Italy.

This brand features a natural Duepunti (0.02ct) Diamond combined with a non-allergic silicon ring or bangle which is available in 19 fabulous, fashion friendly colors. Each ring and bangle has a special mounted a 0.02ct diamond, which means you can happily wear it everyday to all occasions including clubbing and beach areas.

Cartagioie from Italy features their very own paper jewels which is also worth mentioning too at the event. Many of us may like this innovation jewellery design, as it brings out the casual-ness yet class in you with just a piece of creative jewellery.

This year, SIJE 2013 coincided with the 20th anniversary of the Great Singapore Sale, and they are glad to work together with the Singapore Retailers Association to promote SIJE 2013 as one of the highlight events. Lastly, thanks for the dazzling invite to the SIJE 2013 and I am looking forward to more exquisite jewellery pieces next year.
