Funfilled day @ Universal Studios Singapore

Universal Studios Singapore was official opened in 28 May 2011 (soft opening - 18 March 2010), and it was being labeled as the first theme park in South East Asia. Baby and I decided to make our way to the park. We picked a non-peak day (weekday) to visit the park, just to beat the crowd and the queue. OMG!! We were dang wrong, there were still a lot of people (mainly tourists) in the park. People were spotted everywhere around the park.

Universal Studios Singapore consists of 7 zones, and they are Hollywood, New York, Lost World, Far Far Away, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt and Madagascar...
Explore them as you read on...

Upon entering the park, I was greeted by the Universal Studios Store, which is located at the Hollywood Zone.

Universal Studios Store, a shopping extravaganza offering the largest variety of Universal Studios themed collectibles, toys and apparel.

Catch the infamous Monsters in the Rock-n-roll musical at Pantages Hollywood Theater, you can just give it a miss if your schedule is tight.

Heading down next to the New York Zone, where my lovable childhood characters (Sesame Street) comes alive...

New addition to the park by the end of 2012 - Sesame Street Adventure

~ Sesame Street Live Show ~

Indulge in Elmo and all his furry and feathered friends from Sesame Street in the all singing and dancing shows.

Lights, Camera. Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg is a movie special effects show. We were blown away by incredible special effects. In this scenario, we found ourselves standing in a boathouse by the harbour, watching a calm day suddenly turned stormy. It was damn cool as we witness a major hurricane hitting New York City right before our eyes. It was amazing!!

~ TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle ~

Entering the NEST restricted premises...

Hop into the Evac ride and experience the hyper-realistic 3D dark thrill ride. It was an epic experience for me, an awesome ride.

Our photos against OPTIMUS PRIME

Loveable BUMBLEBEE

Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN vs CYLON, the world's tallest dueling roller coasters. Experience the unbelievable thrills as both coasters race towards each other and nearly collide.

Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN is a seated coaster that zooms at a speed of 82.8 km/h

Battlestar Galactica: CYLON is a suspended roller coaster that turn upside down as the coaster runs through a vertical loop, corkscrew and cobra roll.

If you think HUMAN is terrifying, wait till you ride on CYLON. The suspended coaster is freaky and madness... My Baby is a true daredevil, and I am proud of him...

Transporting ourselves to the 1930's Ancient Egypt

Revenge of the Mummy is a indoor high speed roller coaster, it was a fantastic experience and do try sitting at the back row. SHOCK HINTS: 90 degree drop and back-pull motion.

Drive on the vintage dessert jeep for an exciting visit through an abandoned excavation site.

I took some pictures of beautiful scenery in the park while riding in the jeep...

Welcome to The Lost World, this zone is divided into two themed areas: Jurassic Park and WaterWorld.

Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure is a thrilling circular river raft ride, tossing on the waterways within the dinosaur habitats where you will get wet or maybe soaked.

Enjoy a prehistoric bird's eye view of Jurassic Park with Canopy Flyer, the speed is just right, but the ride is too short. Try to sit facing the back and experience the fast backward motion.

Baby's favorite attraction, WATERWORLD. Witness a tidal wave of death-defying stunts, along with thrills and spills from real explosions of fire and water at the sensational live water show.

The live action stunt is spectacular and is a show not to be missed in Universal Studios Singapore. We took the green seats (splash zone). If you want to remain dry, do not sit in the blue and green zones, we were all drenched after the show.

My favourite zone, Madagascar

~ Madagascar: A Crate Adventure ~

Enjoy river boat ride and join the four heroes from Dream Works Animation's blockbuster movie, Madagascar, as they embark on an unforgettable rive ride adventure.

We didn't take King Julien's Beach Party-Go-Round as it was for kids...

Have fun with the characters from Madagascar at Madagascar Boogie

We took a photo with King Julien...

Experience the fairy tales at Far Far Away

See, hear and feel the action at Shrek 4-D Adventure. Through the miracle of the OgreVision, it brings the action to life. Apart from the jumps, bumps, bounces and air blast, we also experienced water spray too.

Enchanted Airways is a family roller coaster. It is pretty shocking though it is labeled as junior roller coaster, a good warm up for the Battlestar Galactica

We checked in to Goldilocks for our late lunch...

Donkey LIVE is an interactive 'live' show that is hosted by Shrek's sidekick, Donkey.

An interactive show experience where guests sing along and even talk with Donkey in a intimate theatre setting.

Wonderful memories in Universal Studios Singapore

A trip down to Universal Studios Singapore makes me feel proud of my country, Singapore. We might be a small dot on the map but big in the world. Though the park's scale is pretty small as compared to Japan and USA, but the rides and attractions are REALLY awesome and thrilling. It brought back many old fond memories from the characters of sesame street, block-buster movies WaterWorld, Jurassic Park and everybody favorite films, Madagascar and Transformers.
