The Green Hornet Premiere Screening

I won a pair of tickets to 'The Green Hornet - 3D' from incinema.sg... As usual, Baby & I went for the screening @ The Cathay Cineplex.

'The Green Hornet' is an American pulp hero and masked vigilante.

A pretty decent movie to watch in 3D even though it really doesn't benefit much from it... If you catch it in 2D, you won't miss much either. The kickass (fighting) scenes are amazing.

'The Green Hornet' is a fun action -comedy movie... However this movie is kinda cliche and has an unoriginal plot. The friendship between Kato (played by Jay Chou) & Britt (played by Seth Rogen) is the centrepiece of this movie and it works well surprisingly... I feel that this movie is more like a buddy comedy than a superhero movie.

Jay Chou makes his debut in hollywood and he is relatively unknown in the states which is a insane contrast to his fame in Asia where he is one of the most popular singers. He has released an album every year since 2000 and every album had sales into the millions... During his music biz career, he won 4 world music awards. Jay Chou still looks charismatic despite his language barrier. In the movie, he acted as a martial arts expert but in reality, he has no foundations of any martial arts, however he impressed the viewers with awesome results in the movie...

I had the pleasure of watching the preview screening all thanks to incinema.sg. The premiere date is on the 27/January 2011

[Nights with Netflix] Screening of Next Gen

Thanks Hpility , for extending your invite to me to attend the 'Nights with Netflix' event. This event was to check out Netflix's Singapore office, as well as to catch a special preview of an awesome screening! photo credits to hpility.sg   Netflix Singapore's office is located at Marina One West Tower , and it looked splendid! How I wish I could work in such a wonderful environment! The pantry looks just like an eatery place, and was well stocked with drinks, snacks and even cup noodles!   Nextflix won the global rights to stream the movie 'Next Gen' , and this newly animated movIe debuts on the 7th of September 2018 .  'Next Gen' is a family-friendly movie with pretty good computer animated visuals for a non-Disney/ Pixar/ DreamWorks production.     This film, 'Next Gen' was based on a short online comic from the Chinese Multimedia Company 'Baozou' .
